Saturday, May 5, 2007 - Join families, friends, and fit-minded people for the second annual Mind Over Matter (M.O.M.) 5K charity run/walk for mental health awareness and suicide prevention. The race begins at 10:00 AM from Starr Jaycee Park in Royal Oak. Advanced registration fees are $20/$25 (same-day add $5) and children 12 & under are FREE. Prizes for the top M/F finishers, team challenge winners, raffle prizes, and more!

Tuesday, April 24, 2007 - M.O.M will be hosting a pre-race fundraiser at Oak City Grill in downtown Royal Oak beginning at 5:30 PM. Show up to make a donation, sign up for the race, or just to have a good time. Mayor Jim Ellison will be bartending and live music will be provided by Josh Clemens, lead singer of The {Edit} Concern. There will be food/drink specials, raffle prizes, and a special raffle for moms only.
